Functional Safety Engineer Location ndash; Gillingham, Kent Salary ndash; GBP55,000 to GBP60,000 Permanent Do you have knowledge of Safety Analysis Methodology (FMEA, FTA etc)? Have you worked within the safety sector helping to develop safety strategies? We have a fantastic opportunity in Gillingham for a Functional Safety Engineer to work for one of our clients. In this role you will be working Monday ndash; Thursday 08:00 ndash; 16:30 with 30 minute lunch break. Responsibilities * Primary customer interface to assist with development of Functional Safety Goals and interpret such concepts for the design team * Development of Functional Safety Concept, Safety Case, Development Interface Agreement and Production Release Report * Perform impact analysis on customer safety goals/ safety requirements with the project team. * Communicate project technical status internally and externally * Develop Technical Safety Concept (TSC) based on customer Functional Safety Goals, per ISO26262 * Review system, software, hardware safety work products * Perform Functional Safety Analysis (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA) and Safety Assessment * Some travel and a flexible work schedule on occasion Skills and Experience Team oriented RISK assessment Problem-solving Resource supervision Leadership Machine commissioning Computer (MS office) Safety Analysis Methodology (FMEA, FTA etc) Functional Safety Analysis tools ISO26262 expertise System domain knowledge Presentation skills Process improvement Quality Control Benefits 27 days holiday + bank holidays Long service holiday (if applicable) Pension Scheme Dental plan Onsite parking Staff discount with selected retails + wellbeing platforms Discounted gym membership at Roko On Site Gym (GBP10 per Month) Subsidised canteen Friendly working environment Relocation package of up to GBP6,000 (Subject to Criteria) To find out more about the position, please apply and we will be in touch to discuss the role in more detail.
