Sen teaching assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join this lovely, family feel autism base in Camden starting in April 2024. This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent. The School: The autism base is a base for pupils with autism, challenging behaviour, and the associated learning disabilities. The base is attached to a mainstream setting and is well equipped to provide the best education possible. You will have access to sensory rooms, amongst other helpful tools for pupils with high autism needs. The base holds 12 children maximum. In the base the children are placed within this unit by the local authority through a referral process. ARP pupils join in with day to day school life and integrate into mainstream classes according to their individual levels of need. As SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the following: middot; Look after children #39;s physical, social and emotional welfare middot; Create a safe learning environment for all students middot; Keep records up to date and attend review meetings middot; Work cooperatively with teachers, TAs and other professionals To join us and be successful in this role you will need: middot; Previous experience working with children middot; Sound knowledge of SEN and Autism middot; An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks middot; Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible middot; Legal right to work in the UK Tradewind are renowned for offering top rates of pay, more CPD than any other agency, great referral bonus and termly networking social events.
