Quality assurance inspector

Our client is a successful and well-established vehicle manufacturer, they are looking for a SQA Inspector to join their team on a temporary basis. As a QA Inspector / Quality Assurance Inspector you will support the quality function through inspection of parts for conformity to requirement of design and purchase order, carrying out dimension checks on key components, checking stocked parts as an ongoing supplier improvement and control plan, and identifying skills and actions. *** PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN START IMMEDIATLEY *** NOTE: This is a temporary contract for a maximum of 6 months. Salary GBP12.82 per hour + Overtime paid at an enhanced rate. Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 6.00am ndash; 2.30pm, Friday 6.00am ndash; 11.30am. Duties and Responsibilities: bull; Check on a daily basis all aspects of receipted parts for conformity and defects bull; Action process for all defects through NCR process and be the first point of contact for production bull; Liaise with engineering, as and when required on technical information for confirmation of specification and conformity bull; Work and liaise with production for in stage demands focussing on requirements for build, quantities, colours and correct design bull; Carry out problem solving activities to support NCR/QIR process and supplier improvements bull; Check critical identified parts in production in line with VOI information and issue VIN numbers to structures Applicant requirements: bull; Previous experience in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control role in a manufacturing environment (preferably within the Automotive industry) bull; Must have good product knowledge with production manufacturing methods and knowledge of Vehicle assembly sequence/process bull; Ability to interpret technical drawings/information to identify critical dimensions bull; You must hold valid driving licence (a PSV driving licence is desirable, but not essential) bull; Good problem solving skills with a logical approach bull; Excellent IT skills bull; Ability to be flexible and adapt to operational needs and changes bull; Must have a positive ldquo;can do rdquo; attitude bull; Ability to work within a team bull; Must have motivation and drive to ensure tasks are completed within the required timescales and to the expected standards This role would suite someone with previous job titles such as; QA Technician / QC Technician / Quality Assurance Controller / QA Controller / Quality Controller / Quality Auditor / Quality Inspector / Quality Manager / Quality Control Coordinator / PDI Inspector / Pre Delivery Inspector / Quality Officer
