We are on the lookout for Female Support Workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to be able to drive and have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love. Furthermore, as Support Worker you will be responsible for: Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities Assisting the people, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality To work in accordance with SeeAbility rsquo;s valuesWe are looking for someone who can devote to 37.5 hours per week and are willing to work on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends. *This post is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1) which provides for the application of a genuine occupational requirement. Who will you be supporting? At Aldershot Support Service we support 6 ladies with learning disabilities, visual impairment, Rhett #39;s, mental health, and autism acquired brain injury. The ladies we support enjoy going out for fun activities such as trips to the seaside, theatre, cinema, Karaoke, shopping, and holidays. They also like spa days including swimming and manicures treatment. Although, they do like cooking activities we are keen on going out for lunch and to the pub for drinks.
