Packaging engineer

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our company based in Frome who are actively looking to recruit a Packaging Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. What you will be doing: Supporting the Lead Packing Engineer with carrying out improvements to help achieve the engineering KPI #39;s. You will send a detailed daily shift report and complete essential weekend maintenance. Attend machine breakdowns efficiently and provide effective measures to ensure issues are resolved. Carry out PPM, corrective and improvement actions on all our packing machines. Use continuous improvement techniques and best practice to improve machine efficiencies. Deliver and develop effective re-active maintenance, repairs improvements. You will generate and complete work orders on CMMS, develop/implement effective PM schedules.What you will need to succeed: Multi-skilled automation skills on packing equipment or equivalent Excellent fault finding and route cause analysis skills. Experience of working in a FMCG environment Some supervisory experience would be beneficial. Comfortable in autonomous decision making and team working.What you will receive in return: Salary: GBP48,208.00 per annum Hours: Pitman Shift: (12 hour shifts from either 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am) Market Leader in their products and sector Company pension 6% employer contribution 25 days holiday + lieu day for Statutory Holidays Company sick pay 4 x Death in Service Free eye test and GBP90 contribution to glasses.
