Reference 57633 Specialist Support Worker Oak Paddock, Shropshire GBP22,308.00 per annum 37.5 hours per week About the role Oak Paddock is a 4 bedded Crisis House based in Racecourse Lane, close to the Redwoods Centre in Shrewsbury. The remit is to support the Service Lead and the Team in providing therapeutic support to those referred by the Crisis Team and Community Mental Health Teams. We are looking to recruit a compassionate staff member to join our team to support people experiencing mental health crisis rsquo;s. Provide support to guests and to ensure the smooth running of the service under the guidance of the team supervisor/manager bull;Prepare and cook simple but nutritious meals bull;Able to work flexibly within a 24hr Rolling Rota system, which will include weekend working and sleep in shifts bull;A high level of professional integrity bull;Committed to maintaining our high standards of care bull;The ability to plan effectively to meet the needs of the service bull;Deliver a high-quality standard of support in a person-centred manner bull;Ensure all identified support needs are met bull;Caring and sensitive Self-motivated Promote individual customers independence and choice To support customers in preparations to move on from Oak Paddock, liaising with care coordinators, crisis team, social workers, and other care providers. Staff must maintain the confidentiality of all customers and any staff information they become aware of. Training will be provided to the successful candidate to equip them with the skills and knowledge of working within a fast-paced environment. Candidates will preferably hold a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care though experience will also be considered, and full training given, and it is important that the successful candidate understands mental health legislation. bull;An understanding of mental health services, including prevention, early intervention, and crisis management bull;Experience of working within a busy support environment bull;Experience of keeping accurate and compliant records bull;Good communication skills both verbally and non-verbally bull;Good working knowledge of Microsoft IT applications bull;Reliable and punctual bull;Ability to maintain confidentiality bull;Use of initiative bull;Flexible approach Trident Group has over 60 years rsquo; experience of delivering homes, services and innovation for up to 8,000 people in over 3,600 homes in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands.
