Job Title: M E QS Location: Cannock Industry: Mechanical and Electrical (M E) Contracting Sectors: Commercial, Healthcare, Leisure Salary: Competitive, Commensurate with Experience My client is a well-established leader in Mechanical and Electrical contracting, is seeking a Junior M E Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team based in Cannock. With a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, healthcare, and leisure sectors, our projects range in size from GBP100k to GBP4m. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with QS qualifications to contribute to and grow within our successful and expanding organization. Key Responsibilities: * Work alongside senior QS professionals to support in all aspects of Quantity Surveying. * Assist in the preparation of estimates, budgets, and cost plans. * Contribute to the procurement process, including subcontractor packages. * Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets. * Collaborate with project teams to assess and negotiate variations. * Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts. Qualifications and Skills: * Qualified in Quantity Surveying (QS) or related field. * Strong analytical and numerical skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work well within a team. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Knowledge of M E contracting processes (desirable but not essential). Experience: * Graduate-level experience not required; however, QS qualifications are essential. * Willingness to learn and develop within the role. * Ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
