Right now, we rsquo;re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our CES team based in London. Here you will be responsible for the corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance in all areas of the process including District Heating plant rooms, pumping stations and control systems, District Heating pipework networks, heat metering equipment and boilers. You #39;ll also assist the Operations Maintenance Team Leaders to help plan, co-ordinate and complete maintenance activities, both mechanical and electrical, that impact/are likely to impact on the operational performance of the District Heating Network. The aim is to reduce unplanned unavailability keeping our customers on supply 24/7 and improve the performance of the assets while ensuring all major costs are identified early in the process to assist with Business planning. What we need from you * Achieved a minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. * Experience and knowledge of the installation, inspection and testing of Commercial/Domestic heating and pipework systems, heat generation, control and heat transfer equipment. * Experience and knowledge associated with the safe isolation and re-commissioning of plant / pipework / electrical systems. * Experience of IT communications systems. * The ability to look for best practise, innovate and appropriately challenge existing processes to improve the plant operational and commercial performance. * Basic health and safety knowledge and competence in hazard identification, risk assessment and management of risks. * Contract Management skills and experience to appropriately challenge contractors on the methods, quality and standards of work. * Excellent understanding of the commercial and financial effects of plant operation. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to form effective working relationships, deliver expert advice and influence at all levels. It would be great if you had * Commercial Gas Safe Certificates including COCN1, CCN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A and CODNCO1, or equivalent. * Experience of working on commercial boilers. * Domestic ACS, Gas Safe certificate, or equivalent. * Recognised electrical qualification such as IEE wiring regulations/Part P Electrical Safety, backed up with experience in a similar maintenance or electrical installation background. * A full UK driving license. Here rsquo;s what you need to know * The salary range for this role is GBP44,199 - GBP56,113. There is a London allowance of up to GBP3,550 pa available for eligible candidates. * This is an East London based role with travel required to other sites within the area. A company van fuel card will be provided. * The successful candidate will join a Call Out Rota 1 week in 5, with a standby retainer of circa GBP4,000 pa.
