Position: Buyer Salary: GBP30,000 to GBP35,000 based on experience and qualifications Location: Lewes - own transport required Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week - flexitime (starting between 7am and 9am and finishing between 3.30pm and 5.30pm) 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Private Medical scheme, Pension scheme, free parking, hybrid working available after three month probation period We are looking for a Buyer to join the purchasing team of an established manufacturing company where you will be involved in a range of procurement activities. The purchasing team is a team of four and as the Buyer you will play a key role in the procurement of direct materials and indirect services. Experience purchasing within Electronics and purchasing components for Electronics manufacture is essential. The Buyer role includes: Procurement of a varied portfolio of electronic and mechanical components Negotiating price, terms and related issues with vendors Preparing purchase orders through a computerized system and placing orders for the purchase of goods and services Resolving delivery, goods inwards and invoicing issues Reviewing contracts for changes prior to bid or renewal Developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and ensuring supply contracts are adhered to Visiting suppliers and conducting audits Verifying Bill of Materials and maintaining up to date ERP and MRP systems You #39;ll need to have experience in Buying from within electronics manufacturing or engineering sectors.
