Exams manager

Working across two college sites in Redhill and South Croydon, our client is looking to hire an Exams Manager, to Manage a first-class central examination service for the college. You will be responsible for supervising and motivating the Exams Team to achieve deadlines, providing expert advice and guidance to academic staff, ensuring adherence to examination board requirements and facilitating the smooth running of College examinations and assessments service. You will assist academic managers in complying with examination deadlines and in meeting the achievement data protocol and take action to identify and resolve discrepancies. The successful candidate must have: * Management experience in an educational environment preferably within Exams * Experience of maintaining accurate records and performing systematic checks * Good digital skills including the use of cloud-based storage, office packages and Teams * Knowledge of examination boards and their requirements * Methodical and effective organisational skills * Experience with using databases familiarity with quality improvement systems What will your working week involve? The post holder will be expected to manage and control a significant expenditure budget and to develop more cost effective and efficient systems to deliver continuous service improvements. This role is also responsible for ensuring high standards of examinations data accuracy in the College student database and the effective tracking of student achievement. * Manage a team of Exams Administrators, Invigilators and other temporary or seasonal staff to deliver a first-class service * Provide expert advice and guidance to college managers and staff on specified awarding bodies accreditation requirements and regulations and facilitate the diversification of the curriculum offer * Assist academic managers in complying with examination deadlines and in meeting the achievement data protocol and take action to identify and resolve discrepancies * Ensure effective and timely advice and guidance is supplied to students and other stakeholders. * Undertake Performance and Development Reviews as appropriate with Exams Team * Liaise closely with the Director of MIS and Academic Managers to ensure registration and enrolment queries are effectively resolved to optimise funding and reported success rates * Manage the examinations timetable and work closely with the Facilities team to ensure appropriate rooming is available at the right time For your information: *Interested?
