Electrician

Field based Electrician required for our client who currently design and manufacture smart home energy storage devices. They are looking for a qualified Electrician to carry out installations and warranty work in customer homes or businesses as required to the schedule agreed with the Installations Manager. This is predominately a field-based role, covering the UK and based in the headquarters and manufacturing site in North London. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with a solid technical / electrical background, preferably a time served electrician with a minimum of 3 years rsquo; experience in a similar post. It would be advantageous to have experience of renewable energy, technical customer service or electrical/electronic equipment maintenance, however this is not a requirement. Full training will be provided to a qualified Electrician, if no experience within renewables is held. Package: * Up to GBP45,000 GBP48,000 per annum dependent on experience. * 25 days of holiday per annum. * Company Pension. * Company Vehicle. * Expenses covered when an overnight stay is required. Duties: * Carry out installations and warranty work in customer homes or businesses as required to the schedule agreed with the Installations Manager. * Co-ordinate closely with the Installations Manager on the agreed schedule and job requirements and support. * Maintain the technical standard and quality of electrical work carried out by electrical operational staff and 3rd party contractors * Ensure the required technical standards and processes are followed at all times. * Provide an effective response to Health and Safety issues, to ensure the safety of customers and operational staff in line with company procedures and other such legislation. * Able to recognise issues and liaise closely with the Technical team and provide feedback on any suggestions, ideas, or challenges as they occur in the field. * Commit and contribute to the continuous improvement of the companies field processes ndash; e.g. site surveys, installations, warranty. * Maintain and manage a calibration log for all equipment. * Service and maintenance of Energy Storage units in customers rsquo; homes. * Ensure Van stock levels are always at an appropriate level. Qualifications: * NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation * Work or City Guilds 2360 Part 1/ 2 (A/B) or C G 2365 or C G 2330 or C G 2356 and AM2* * C G 2391 or G G 2394 and C G 2395 * * C G 2382 current edition, or EAL equivalent. * UK Driving license held for at least one-year with no endorsements. * Practical knowledge of Health and Safety legislation. * Fully conversant with safe systems of work, risk assessments and compliance with CDM regulations * Has held the post of NICEIC (or equivalent) EQS for an Approved Contractor Scheme (desirable but not essential) * Safety systems * Basic knowledge of renewable energy (desirable but not essential) * Basic understanding of programming concepts and techniques (desirable but not essential) * Knowledge of internet connectivity devices and troubleshooting issues All the above qualifications are preferred, but a candidate will be considered if only some are held
