Family law solicitor

My client is searching for a Family Law Solicitor to join their growing firm based in Gillingham, Kent Purpose To undertake fee-earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the Firm. To ensure the successful development of the Firm in line with the business plan. Duties The role includes but is not limited to the following: bull; Family Law, including separation, divorce and finances upon divorce bull; Children Matters bull; Domestic abuse and domestic violence injunctions, divorce and children law bull; TOLATA claims bull; Drafting legal documentation to include Cohabitation Agreements and Prenuptial Agreements bull; Financial control with particular regard to cash flow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures bull; Providing assistance to other fee earners within the office/Firm as required particularly during periods of sick leave or holiday absence bull; To minimise risk in dealing with all work and ensure that all files are managed in accordance with the Firm rsquo;s risk and file management procedures bull; To carry out all work in accordance with procedures and systems documented in the Office Manual, and the Firm rsquo;s training seminars. bull; Supervision of fee-earning work undertaken by colleagues The Candidate To be successful in your application, you will possess the following attributes: bull; Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent bull; You will be a Family Solicitor who has expertise in all aspects of family law bull; It is likely that you will have several years of PQE upwards although this level is a guide only. bull; Ability to manage own caseload with or without support staff bull; Utilise the firm rsquo;s practice and case management system. bull; Ability to assist with the marketing of the department. bull; To bill clients in accordance with notified charging rates in accordance with time spent on the client file and to achieve financial targets for income. bull; Strong IT skills bull; Excellent written and verbal communication skills Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment Please Note: Due to the number of applications we receive we may be unable to respond to every application directly.
