Quality engineer

Overview: Working closely with our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team. Benefits: * Mon-Fri Days Role (early finish on a Friday) * 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays * Employee Assistance Programme * 2x Annual Salary Life Assurance * Free Parking Remit: * As a Quality Engineer you will be response for ensuring the companies products meet customer requirements and specifications, along with minimising costs of reworking or waste while ensuring customer satisfaction with the products. * This position will suit an experienced Quality Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing organisation, preferably within a plastics manufacturer however other industries will be considered. Role: * Ensure that operatives and inspectors are working to company workmanship standards. * Ensure that suppliers conform to specification requirements. * Ensure that management systems are adhered to through audit procedures. * Maintain customer communications and resolution to any quality issues raised. * Monitor process controls all departments. * Carry out Internal Auditing. * Conduct in-house analysis. * Solve problems regarding quality issues using technical resources within the company and suppliers. * Communicate with customers and suppliers. * Identify and verifies standards with the customer and suppliers alike. * Support the Senior Inspectors with a technical supervisory resource in resolving day to day issues arising in manufacture. * Involvement in HR (i.e. conducting disciplinaries, performance management). Experience Requirements: * A relevant degree (i.e., Engineering, Engineering Technology) or substantial experience. * At least five years of work experience in a manufacturing organisation, preferably plastics manufacturer. * Demonstrable familiarity with the processes such as injection moulding, paint finishing, assembly work. * Use of quality tools ndash; FMEA, SPC, Control plans. * Audit skills. * Demonstrable experience within a managerial / leadership role and leading a team. * Excellent verbal and written skills. * Proficient IT skills. * Excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels (internal and external). * Highly motivated and presenting the ability to work on own initiative.
