Automation engineer

Headcount Solutions is recruiting an Automation Engineer (Utility Systems) for projects at a multination client rsquo;s facility in Dublin. 12-Month Minimum Reporting to the Associate Director Automation Systems this person will support Utility Automation Control systems such as the Waste Water Treatment plant PLC/SCADA system, Utility Automation OEM systems, Electrical Automation System and Building Automation System. Key Responsibilities: middot; Supporting Utility Automation Control systems; Waste Water Treatment plant PLC/SCADA system, Utility Automation OEM systems, Electrical Automation System and Building Automation System. middot; Working with SCADA and PLC/HMI environments. middot; Support upgrade projects. middot; Provide troubleshooting and hands-on support to resolve technical issues. middot; Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines. middot; Creating and carrying out test procedures and automation change controls. middot; Liaising with installation/project engineers. middot; Writing reports, documentation, and work instructions. middot; Training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate. middot; Attend Software Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing. middot; Maintaining and developing change control systems. Qualifications Experience: middot; Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, or a related engineering field or its equivalent. middot; Minimum 5 years rsquo; experience providing automation system solutions and support to manufacturing organisations in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry or similar is required. middot; Experience with Rockwell and Siemens Automation Platforms. Experience of ABB PLC/SCADA platforms would be an advantage. middot; Experience of Windows Server, SQL and Active Directory would be an advantage. middot; A good understanding of computer networking, Subnets, VLANs and Firewall rules. middot; Working knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88 industry standards. middot; Thorough knowledge of Pharmaceutical Industry Regulations (cGMP/cGLP, OSHA, EPA/EQB) required. middot; Experience of Validated and Non-Validated Control System Documentation practices.
