Head of safeguarding manager

RSR Justice are currently recruiting on behalf of an organisation based in West Yorkshire for a Head of Safeguarding Manager. The purpose of this role is to act as a member of the senior leadership team utilising their skills in supporting executive directors to ensure that clients are empowered, encouraged, and enabled to lead satisfying healthy lives. This is a fulltime, permanent role, offering a salary of GBP40,000 ndash; GBP45,000 per annum. Main Duties: * Develop effective policies, procedures, control, processing and systems to prevent, detect and investigate potential safeguarding issues. The successful candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to support teams in implementing and adhering to safeguarding good practice. * Oversee the line management of safeguarding and partnerships teams * Sit on committees and boards as required and represent the organisation at events. * Act as the link to the executive directors. * You will be expected to undertake all duties outlined above and in addition, some other duties not outlined above will need to be undertaken as requested by the executive directors. Essential Requirements: * Excellent verbal and written command and articulation of the English language. * GCSE rsquo;s A* to C in Maths and English or equivalent. * Educated to Degree level or equivalent. * Must have extensive knowledge of safeguarding/child protection health and safety and be willing to undertake appropriate training updates. * Must have knowledge of working with vulnerable individuals including victims of modern slavery human trafficking, domestic violence, forced marriage, honour based violence, asylum seekers and refugees. * Must be able to work independently in an office setting or within the extended community. You must also be willing and able to travel to engage in identified meetings locally and nationally. * Knowledge of British Law in relation to safeguarding and the wider area of adult protection.
