Industrial automation and control engineer

An Industrial Automation and Control Engineer with an understanding of Industrial Communication protocols will get involved with a range of tasks from setting up and programming PLC rsquo;s, motor drivers and industrial communications to performing fault diagnosis, delivering training and providing technical product support. To be part of the team you should possess the following: * HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline such as Electronics or Mechatronics. * 1+ Years rsquo; industrial design / support / testing experience. * Knowledge of various electronic applications relating to Industrial Automation and Control applications. * Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. * Some knowledge of PLC rsquo;s and ladder or Structured Text programming. * A good understanding of industrial communications protocols such as EtherNet IP, PROFINET and/or IO-Link. The role: The successful Industrial Automation and Control Engineer answer technical questions, assist with customer applications and perform fault diagnosis for a range of products including motion control and/or actuators. You rsquo;ll also set up and programme PLC rsquo;s. motor drivers and industrial communications, thriving on challenges and possessing confidence to work within a customer / people facing role. You rsquo;ll get to create and deliver training courses as well as creating operating manuals. Occasional travel to Europe will be part of the role.
