Tax assistant

We are delighted to be partnered with our client, an established and highly reputable accountancy and financial services based business as they seek to recruit a Tax Assistant to join their experienced and friendly team, within their offices in Uckfield. This is a busy, personal tax compliance role and you will ideally be ATT qualified with at least 2 years rsquo; post qualification experience. As a result, this would more ideally suit a candidate with proven experience in personal tax. This is a highly deadline-based role so, at times, flexibility on hours in peak times will be required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small but busy team within a very successful organisation. Tax Assistant (Private Client) Full time permanent role - office based but with flexibility to work from home on occasions Mon-Fri (Apply online only) Role based in Uckfield. There is free parking available on the streets close to the office. The office is also around 5-10 mins walk from the nearest mainline station. Salary - GBP38000-GBP44000 per annum plus very good company benefits This is an excellent opportunity to work within an established and successful organisation. Duties will include: Requesting tax return information from clients and relevant parties Take ownership of and generate tax returns for a diverse client base Advise clients of their UK tax positions and liaise with HMRC as appropriate Provide supervisory support for more junior members of the team Assisting on consultancy projects and other ad-hoc matters as required Experience, competencies and knowledge required: Essential. ATT Qualified Practical and varied personal and technical tax knowledge Ability to work as part of a team and independently Evidence of being a proactive, self-starter who can manage changing priorities in a demanding environment IT literate (Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams) Desirable.
