A renowned, well-established accountancy practice is recruiting for a qualified Accounts Senior to join the dynamic accounts team at the firm rsquo;s Wokingham office. The key function of this role will be assisting the managers and associate partners in the management and delivery of accounts preparation services for an Owner Managed Business client portfolio. As Accounts Senior your responsibilities will include: * Preparing statutory year end account from records from planning to completion * Preparing accounts and tax returns for partnerships and companies * Managing deadlines and client expectations * First review of statutory accounts and management accounts * Dealing with queries from clients via email and phone * Preparing and reviewing VAT returns * Some management accounts preparation and reviews * Providing on the job training for junior members of the team * Preparing for and visiting clients * Involvement in the billing process monthly We welcome application from candidates with the following experience and attributes: * ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 18 months experience in accounts preparation within an accountancy practice environment * Significant experience of delegating to, and reviewing work of trainees within a team * Leadership qualities * Experience of working towards budgets and time sheets * Strong general IT skills with experience of Iris, CaseWare and Sage Line 50; a good understanding of cloud accounting packages would be beneficial * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Be driven to succeed, take initiative and want results This is an excellent firm that has authenticity at its heart and is passionate about proving exemplary services to clients and nurturing its staff, creating a highly professional team.
