Quantity surveyor

GBR Recruitment are working in close partnership with a well established progressive new build housing developer recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor (non chartered or chartered) to manage multiple new build sites, inc. budgets costs, from the initial site inception stage right through to full build completion, preparing accurate monthly site valuations (CVR #39;s) covering Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire other areas. You must be a seasoned QS that is strong in CDM Construction projects across multiple sectors / build types. Overview of the Role: * To assist with managing multiple sites from inception to completion * Effectively assisting in the management of all site budgets costs for multiple sites * Assisting with the preparation of accurate monthly site valuations (CVR rsquo;s) Daily Duties: * Weekly fortnightly payments of direct subcontractor labour only trades * Analyse sub-contractor invoices/applications * Monthly sub-contractor payments * Keep Payment Record Sheets up-to-date following completion of each payment run * Prepare monthly cost / value reconciliation * Prepare sub-contractor procurement tender list for sign off by QSM Operations /Production Directors * Prepare tender documents/packs and send out to the relevant sub-contractors * Analyse tenders upon return * Undertake tender analysis by evaluating tenders and comparing the prices against each other, previous developments, and the site budget * Carry out pre-order meetings with sub-contractors Skills, Qualifications Experience Required: * Previous experience of Eque 2 Housebuilding or COINS software is desirable but not essential * Must be strong in CDM varied Construction works (GBPM projects) * Bsc Hons Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction related degree or time served in a QS capacity * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Hold a valid and appropriate CSCS card or commit to obtaining one * Previous experience in a similar QS position working on residential projects within the new build housing sector is useful or any build types * Must be self-motivated and very organised with the ability to operate efficiently with minimal supervision Employee Benefits: * Fantastic Employee Benefits Package discussed at interview (one of the best) Interviews to take place immediately for the right calibre applicant/s
