Role Overview: This full-time position entails working closely with students in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on the school rsquo;s needs, to provide targeted support for those experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children across the autism spectrum and possess a compassionate and empathetic approach. Responsibilities: * Collaborate effectively with classroom educators to deliver personalized support for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. * Implement individualized strategies and interventions to address the unique challenges faced by each student, promoting their well-being and fostering a positive learning environment. * Cultivate a safe, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, prioritizing the social and emotional development of every student. * Actively engage students in enriching activities designed to enhance their social skills, emotional resilience, and self-confidence. * Build strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students rsquo; social, emotional, and mental health needs. Qualifications and Skills: * Demonstrated experience working with children in an educational setting, with a focus on supporting social, emotional, and mental health needs. * Strong understanding of special educational needs, with the ability to implement effective strategies and interventions tailored to individual students. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with teaching staff, parents, and stakeholders. * Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the well-being and development of every student. Location and Hours: Located in Edmonton, this role offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The position is full-time, with working hours from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, providing ample opportunities to support students rsquo; holistic development.
