Role Overview: As a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in challenging behaviours, you will play a vital role in supporting students in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on the school rsquo;s needs. Your responsibilities may include working one-on-one with students across the spectrum, implementing tailored behaviour management strategies, and promoting social and emotional development. Responsibilities: * Collaborate closely with classroom educators to deliver targeted support and implement effective behaviour management strategies for students with challenging behaviours. * Develop and implement individualized behaviour plans, employing dynamic teaching methodologies to address the unique needs of each student. * Cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere, prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of every student. * Actively engage in classroom activities, promoting positive social interactions and facilitating peer relationships. * Foster strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and fellow professionals, ensuring a holistic and cooperative approach to each student rsquo;s development. Qualifications and Skills: * Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, demonstrating expertise in behaviour management and challenging behaviours. * A profound understanding of special educational needs, with the ability to implement effective behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering seamless collaboration with teaching staff, parents, and stakeholders. * Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of each student with challenging behaviours. Location and Hours: Located in Edmonton, our school offers modern facilities and a supportive learning environment. This full-time position operates from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, providing ample opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with challenging behaviours.
