General foreman site manager

James Gray Recruitment are actively seeking a General Foreman / Site Manager in the North / East of Scotland on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering and water sectors. Our client: * 70 years of experience across the UK, working across a number of Joint Ventures, Public-Private Partnerships and alternative forms of contract on well-known and celebrated projects; * Major projects include roads and bridges, and significant water projects; * Well-respected and successful, our client has secured a substantial contract and are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join their team; * This is an excellent opportunity to join a company which has been steadily growing since their inception, and with scope for work for years to come.. What you rsquo;ll be doing: * Managing Projects ranging from Aberdeen and Dundee to Fife * Direct the work of operatives and sub-contractors * Ensure environmental systems are implemented satisfactorily * Contribute to preparation of programme * Plan and order materials and plant to achieve programmes * Keep daily records of work carried out on the computer * Ensure that works proceed in accordance with site programmes * Ensure all plant on site is suitable for the task and conforms to current legislation * Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.. What you rsquo;ll need to be successful: * Ideally, the candidate will be experienced within civil engineering and water; * At least 5 years rsquo; experience as a General Foreman; * IT Skills are essential; * Valid CSCS, SMSTS, is essential; * Flexibility on location of work is essential.
