Job Summary To work closely with the Bid Team and Contract Managers to draw up assessments of costs of products and services to provide to clients. Main duties and Responsibilities bull; Compiling Bids for Projects. bull; To be able to understand specification documents and be able to produce full take off rsquo;s from mechanical and electrical drawings. bull; Mechanical project range GBP1 ndash; 6 million. bull; Calculating costs for materials, transport, labour, equipment hire, permits, and other project-related expenses. bull; Obtaining quotes for all predicted requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers, this will include Electrical and Builders work elements. bull; Collating detailed price lists of everything required on each tender/project. bull; Clarifying the client rsquo;s needs and expectations. bull; Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, breakdowns, and proposals. bull; Assessing and adhering to all risk assessments and health and safety requirements. bull; Keeping up to date with inflation, and understand potential risks. bull; Analyse potential risks and opportunities associated with the project and incorporate them into the estimate. bull; Maintain accurate records and documentation related to estimates and project costs. bull; Making visits to site to familiarise with the works and fully understand the scope of works and site-specific requirements of works being tendered. bull; Stay up to date on industry standards and regulations bull; Present bids to clients and answering their questions. bull; Assisting bid writer with specific site information to assist with quality submissions. bull; Preparing and submitting quotations for smaller works up to GBP1 million for contractor rsquo;s design style projects with limited information available. bull; Desire to want to progress into renewable technologies. bull; Ability to tender for multiple projects at any one time. bull; Ability to produce value engineering solutions. bull; Produce programme of works and site logistic plans at tender stage to demonstrate to clients we understand their requirements and to present our delivery methods. The ideal Candidate Will be/have bull; Strong Mechanical knowledge is a must have bull; Strong mathematical and financial skills. bull; Highly proficient in numeracy bull; Good negotiation skills bull; Experience with estimating software bull; An effective communicator bull; Ability to undertake project management bull; Detail orientated bull; Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines bull; Ability to work alone and as a part of a team bull; Excellent at problem solving bull; Analytically minded, including having the ability to undertake financial analysis bull; A team player bull; Experience/ability to deliver presentations bull; Organised and methodical bull; Proficient at using Microsoft Projects as well as industry specific software bull; Experience in maintaining effective records Essential Qualifications/Skills bull; GCSE qualified bull; Relevant qualification in either Construction Management/Structural Engineering/Quantity Surveying bull; Full UK Driving Licence bull; Industry qualifications or the ability to work towards gaining them Working for us bull; 21 days holiday increasing by 1 day every 2 years rsquo; service up to a maximum of 25 days, plus statutory days bull; Pension scheme ndash; Auto enrolment bull; Employee Assistance Programme bull; Life insurance bull; Staff Discounts bull; Employee Referral Scheme bull; Mobile Phone and Uniform provided You will be part of a friendly and busy team.
