Maintenance engineer

Maintenance Engineer Mildenhall, Suffolk Monday- Friday (40-45 hours per week, flexible hours) GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 Benefits:, 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, standard pension scheme, formal training and development, company social events. Our client based in Mildenhall is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to join their team. You will be familiar with Production machinery, particularly Lathe machines and experience of performing a maintenance role within a production environment. You will have a very good mechanical aptitude and be capable of stripping down machines to replace items such as bearings, conveyor belts and other wear parts. If this sounds like you please read on! What our client can offer you: * To assist the Lathe Area Department in maintaining 16 Multispindle Lathe Machines and Ancillary Equipment. * To diagnose faults with Machines and Equipment. * To strip down Machines and Equipment when necessary to replace mechanical wear parts. * To complete and update tasks using a Maintenance based software. * To support and assist with Service Engineer visits. * To determine spare part requirements to maintain production on a 24/7 basis. * To investigate and where possible offer suggestions for improvements and/or cost reductions. * To assist other areas of the business in a Maintenance role as and when required. What we are looking for: * Have experience in using a range of general workshop machinery and equipment. * Be familiar with Production Machinery, particularly Lathe Machines, and also have at least 5-10 years rsquo; experience of performing a Maintenance role within a production environment. * Very good mechanical aptitude and be capable of stripping down Machines to replace items, such as Bearings, Conveyor Belts and other wear parts. * Disciplined, self-motivated and be able to work as both an individual and as part of a team. * Required to work outside of normal working hours as and when necessary. * Show flexibility and support to other areas of the business in a Maintenance role when needed. * Have strong communication skills, being able to discuss problems and issues with all levels of personnel.
