Junior category manager

Job Title: Junior Category Manager Recruiter: Alaska Black Location: East Yorkshire Salary: GBP45,000 Contract: Permanent The company Our client, one of the UK rsquo;s leading food manufacturers based in East Yorkshire supply premium quality products to major retailers and premium food service providers. The role Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will assist in developing and driving category growth plans, based on thorough understanding of market performance and customer behaviour. You will lead on innovation and influence new product development briefs. You will develop true expertise and use this knowledge to work in partnership with retailer stakeholders to ensure the category meets the changing needs of customers, giving the retailer and Cranswick opportunities for growth. The person Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-year experience working within a Category Management function in an FMCG business. You will be passionate about working with the fresh food retail market. Positive bold and ambitious and have experience of working within a Catergory Management Function and a good knowledge of Kantar and Quantium. You will have strong analytical and numerical skills to derive insight from complex data sources and have attention to detail and creativity to deliver new ways of working. You will have experience of using market data be a confident decision maker and strong communication / influencing skills. You will have the ability to maintain and grow relationships with all levels internally and externally.
