As a Lead Technical IT Service Manager, you are responsible for setting the vision and strategy for Service Management, ensuring processes are owned and matured. You will lead a team ensuring adequate resources and capacity delivering value outcomes to the Business. Represent IT Service Management at a senior level and act as an escalation point for Business stakeholders. Job description You will join the Hybrid Cloud Service Operations function as a Lead Technical IT Service Manager, responsible for consistent application of Service Management discipline across Hybrid Cloud Services, with a focus on Incident and Problem Management, Change Management, Service Transition, and Continual Service Improvement. As a Lead Technical IT Service Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring appropriate input to analysis and resolution of Major Incidents for Hybrid Cloud Services Products, providing key stakeholder input to technical and business calls, reviewing and validating Post Incident Reviews and Major Incident Closure Reports. You will work with IT Operations to mature the Hybrid Cloud Services Performance Framework with the introduction of Service Level Indicators and Objectives (SLI’s and SLO’s), enabling Digital to successfully achieve service objectives and meet the Business outcomes. Working closely with the various teams across Hybrid Cloud Services, you will ensure that Hosting and Shared Service offerings are secure, resilient, recoverable, and delivered in line with architectural principles and best practice, with appropriate Support and Operating Models established and maintained. You will be responsible for Service Reporting and Operational Risk Management, identifying and driving Continual Service Improvement (CSI), and overseeing the delivery of Risk Remediation activities and Management Action Plans (MAP). You will lead on the development, maintenance, and testing of IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) / IT Disaster Recovery Plans and activities for Hybrid Cloud Services, ensuring alignment with agreed policies and procedures. This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. Salary Information Pay for this role is from £69,869 to £77,740. Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview. Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary. Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the next grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater. When giving details in your employment history and personal statement you should highlight your experience in line with essential criteria below: Significant demonstrable experience of a Service Management Framework e.g., ITIL, embedding policies and procedures in a complex Hybrid Cloud environment Experience of developing and maturing a Service Management capability in a complex organisation, managing end to end services across a multi supplier landscape. Experience of developing and overseeing the delivery of Security Assurance and Risk Remediation Action Plans. Extensive experience and understanding of On-Premise Hosting and Cloud Infrastructure, and Shared Services, specifically how they should be used to support delivery of strategic business objectives. Experience of leading and inspiring teams to deliver strategic outcomes with a focus on service excellence.
