Mimic Condition Monitoring software was first developed more than 25 years ago, today it is an innovative intelligent software solution that analyses asset condition, vibration data, performance and efficiency, and is used internationally by commercial ship owners, operators and military vessels. Mimic Condition Monitoring software provides vessel owners and operators with live decision making data relating to asset condition, performance and efficiency to ensure vessels remain operational and on hire. This allows commercial ship owners and operators to increase revenue through improved vessel reliability and availability which in turn helps to maintain reputation. It will also reduce significant costs associated with being off-hire as a result of mechanical breakdown. For military vessels Mimic ensures every mission is completed as smoothly as possible. Actual money is saved from the avoidance of intrusive and breakdown maintenance and associated unnecessary spare parts consumption. What will I be doing? As Mimic’s IT Technical Consultant you will work as part of a team of Technical Support consultants who assist clients globally. The role involves providing technical support to a global client base who use Mimic Condition Monitoring Software onboard vessels. Provide level 2 Software\Hardware support. Management of hardware configuration. Onsite installation of integrated Mimic software products. Configuration of Mimic hardware products. Onsite and remote integration between Mimic and 3rd party planned maintenance systems. Maintain a good working liaison with ships engineers, IT officers and IT departments. Management of Local PLC and Software Development network. Creation and ongoing support of VMs for software testing and support.
