The Opportunity As an IT Intern at Rotork, from day one you’ll find yourself at the heart of the action, with the opportunity to be involved in a variety of IT related activities. These could be with infrastructure systems and processes including systems development, cyber security, or other IT and business transformation projects. All the while gaining invaluable knowledge and skills, and an unrivalled understanding of how the IT function operates in a global business. Throughout your internship you will be fully supported by our Early Careers team, a graduate buddy and ongoing learning and development from our leaders and technical experts. You’ll be working collaboratively as part of a high performing team, to build your IT and technical skills, career prospects, and your knowledge of Rotork. From day one you’ll play a meaningful role by supporting our IT team in their different initiatives such as: Understanding relevant architectures, strategies, polices, standards and technology practices. Working with DevOps teams, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure the successful implementation of IT upgrades and new technology implementations. Testing and support of new solutions to ensure they are accepted and adopted by stakeholders. Testing of IT systems and networks on a regular basis to ensure they remain secure. Providing a high level of support to global users in line with agreed Service Level Agreements. As a successful Candidate you will: Likely be an Undergraduate on track to achieve a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related subject. Be looking for a summer internship between your penultimate and final year of studies, or sandwich placement as part of your studies. Have a real passion for IT and technology, with the desire to make a difference. Be a team player that shares knowledge and insights and thrives in a dynamic environment. Have a strong level of initiative and problem-solving skills. Make sure you indicate in your application the duration of internship you are interested in and the month and year you would be available to start.
