Job description:

RESPONSIBILITIES (Not limited to) To ensure practitioner-patients enquiries are handled efficiently, courteously and empathetically via telephone and email Arranging practitioner-patients appointments and maintain diary schedules Assisting in the management of the services email accounts and telephone book Accurate coding on patient records to support the production of performance management data Registering new patients on patient database and booking app Keeping up to date with the different contracted care pathways Ensuring that the process for Out of Area referrals is followed. Facilitating management of referrals of patients through recording referral data and liaising with external providers re: patient contact details Recording, arranging transportation and checking blood, urine and hair test results. Attending and note-taking for weekly MDT and Operations Team meetings Transcribing reports and other correspondence as provided by the clinicians, working to appropriate and realistic deadlines. Scanning letters and notes onto electronic patient records Providing cover for reception and administrative staff as required Providing telephone cover Organising room bookings and meetings Preparing reports and printing out medical notes. Requesting results/letters/notes/reports from other services as required Maintaining office supplies Maintaining filing systems Maintaining websites, including posting new stories, publications and service updates. Organising daily post and responding / recording requests Photocopying, emailing etc. Keeping up to date with policies and procedures of all aspects of data protection and confidentiality, and staff training Acting as prescribing clerk as and when required Occasional conference attendance as representative of the service, including assisting and advising delegates. Helping to improve and develop the services systems and procedures to maximise efficiency. Undertaking any other reasonable duties that may be required
