Senior quantity surveyor

A leading privately owned, award-winning, Civil Engineering Contractor are actively seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position in Glasgow. This is to manage several Civils projects recently started which requires an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage. Our client: * The client is a leading UK business operating within Rail, Highways, Wind Farm and Infrastructure schemes; * Very reputable firm in the UK Civil Engineering market with strong values and ethics; * Wide range of public, private and third sector clients; * Due to on-going and future pending contracts, this is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the Scotland #39;s largest contractors and get exposure to interesting and prestigious projects. What you rsquo;ll be doing: * The successful Lead Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of their own projects; * Preparing tender and contract documents, including performing risk, value management and cost control; * Manage project costs from concept to completion and through to the end of defects liability; * Oversee contractual commitments, challenging and supporting to identify best value solutions; * Client focused with the ability to build and manage effective relationships with multiple stakeholders; * Manage the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports; What you rsquo;ll need to be successful: * The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with at least an HNC in Quantity Surveying; * Experience in Civil Engineering fields is preferable; * At least 5+ years rsquo; post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying; * CVR and Target Cost experience in addition to ICC NEC3 Forms of Contract knowledge What rsquo;s in it for you: * A salary of between GBP55,000 - GBP63,000 DOE; * Benefits include, Car / Car Allowance and pension * Flexible working options What you need to do next: Please hit the APPLY NOW button to send your CV to James Brodie at James Gray Recruitment.
