You will be part of the Support team that is responsible supporting for a wide range of technology used by staff and students. The successful applicant will undertake day to day duties including technical support, maintenance and monitoring of key services and working with the Network Manager to ensure high standards of reliability of the school IT infrastructure. There will be opportunities to take ownership of key daily and monthly tasks related to IT Support. Prior experience in an IT support environment would be highly advantageous although a passion for technology and a ‘can-do’ attitude are key. You will ideally have knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems and Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft 365. You will be enthusiastic and have a keen interest and passion for IT, be dependable and highly motivated with a superb customer service attitude. The successful candidate will be good at thinking quickly, have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, able to use your own initiative, prioritise tasks and work without direct supervision. Having excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team is important. The ability to comfortably communicate with both technical and non-technical people is key, as is good numeracy and literacy skills. There is a requirement to be able to lift and carry equipment. Every member of the Support Staff has their own area of responsibility but having a flexible attitude and able to assist in other areas is important. There may be the occasional need for work on a weekend or in the evening to support events around the school.
