Director of IT and Estates The Heath Family Trust Based at: The Heath Family Trust Central Office, North West – with some hybrid working Salary: Circa £60 – 70k Hours: 37 hours per week, working all year round Holidays: 26 days per annum, increasing to 31 days after 5 years service, plus all statutory Bank Holidays Start date: ASAP Accountable to: CEO Contract type: Permanent The Heath Family Trust is seeking an entrepreneurial Director of IT and Estates to develop and implement strategies that ensure outstanding learning infrastructure for our schools. The Heath Family Trust operates across the North West of England, with three secondary and five primary schools in Halton, Knowsley and Sefton. We will succeed through clarity, collaboration, accountability, and academic rigour The Director of IT and Estates will play a pivotal leadership role in defining and delivering the Trust’s strategy for operational effectiveness and long-term sustainability. This includes developing and implementing IT and Estates strategies to deliver outstanding learning facilities and IT provision to our schools, as well as providing vision, strategic direction and leadership in the planning, management and development of effective operations across the Trust’s professional services teams and ensuring the Trust’s operational infrastructure is equipped to support the needs of the organisation. The role also includes responsibility for all aspects of Health and Safety across the Trust. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of leading strategic operations for an organisation or significantly sized team within an organisation, and be able to evidence effective contract management expertise. High level leadership and communication skills are essential to the role, as is the ability to work strategically and analytically. Experience of working within in a leadership or management team, along with working with Governors, Trustees or other similar stakeholders is also required. Experience of procurement, project management and risk management, and a good knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, is also prerequisite for a successful application.
