House of Fraser company

What started in 1849 as a family-run drapery shop in Glasgow went on to become a leading department store chain - House of Fraser - with more than 60 stores throughout the UK and Ireland. House of Fraser now offers a one-stop solution for household items, including clothing, linen, fashion accessories, jewellery, electronics devices and furniture. The department chain trades under a number of banners, including Jenners, House of Fraser and Beatties; and provides products of both internal brands like Linea Home and external brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Armani, French Connection, Alberta Ferretti and Moschino. Over the years, the company has acquired many acclaimed household stores, including Barkers of Kensington, Howells, the Army & Navy Stores and Dickins & Jones. Although now owned by Highland Group Holdings, the company still retains its original values set by founders Hugh Fraser and James Arthur.
